Col de la Madeleine
Sunday 3 September 2023 The Sun is shining down on another glorious day as we leave the web hotel and turn south towards Albertville. We are in the alps proper now and the heat of yesterday is tempered as the altitude climbs. Son we are winding our way up to the summit of the fabulous Col de la Madeleine which tops out at 2000 metres above sea level. The view from the summit of Col de la Madeleine We pull up at the restaurant on the summit for coffee. I imagine Clive had a slab of cake as well although I did not make a note of it.
